Nothing has changed network wise, got a call suddenly this morning, asking me to check the voip system because there was a "no audio" problem.
We have two networks, 192.168.0.0 where the elastix server is behind a firewall (crappy thomson router, port 5060 and 10010-11000 are forwarded) and local extensions.
And another network 192.168.1.0 that is also behind a firewall (own server, port 5060 and 10010-11000 are accepted). This server/firewall also runs SER to help the extensions connect to the elastix server.
As i mentioned above, nothing had changed and everything was working 100% before.
When calling from an extension from the 192.168.0.0 (where the elastix server sits locally) to an outside number, everything works.
When calling from an extension from the 192.168.1.0 to anywhere, there is no audio both ways. I can hear it ringing before the pickup.
When doing tcpdump i can see there is udp traffic on ports higher than 11000. Some which get an icmp in return with destination unreachable because those ports are blocked.
Asterisk is set up with rtp.conf to use the ports 10010-11000.
How can the extension on the 192.168.1.0 still be using an rtp port higher than 11000? tcpdump shows all the SIP traffic on 5060 seem to be going alright though.
would appreciate it if someone could help me solve this problem asap, so the phones will be working again during business hours (it's 00:46 now, still 8 hours to go...)
Edit: we also have two more extensions at different locations, they are behind cunsumer grade routers with firewalls and show the same no audio symptoms.
